Kouper, Inc. ("Kouper", "we", or "us") provides a platform that facilitates communications between health care partners and patients (the "Platform"). We also operate a website (the "Site") to promote our Platform to current and prospective health care partners ("Partners"). In this Privacy Policy, we refer to the Site and Platform together as the "Services."
This Privacy Policy explains (1) how we handle patient information on behalf of our Partners when they use the Platform to communicate with patients, and (2) how we collect, use, and share personal information about representatives of current and prospective Partners and visitors to our Site.
Our Platform makes use of a chatbot feature that allows patients to communicate with our Partners by text message to receive assistance with care, treatment, and appointment scheduling. When patients communicate with us and our Partners via the Platform, we may collect:
Contact details, such as name and phone number.
Biographical information, such as date of birth, gender, and zip code.
Treatment and scheduling information, such as appointments, health conditions and diagnoses, and care requirements.
Any other content patients provide in their communications.
This information may be "Protected Health Information" ("PHI") subject to HIPAA. As a "business associate" under HIPAA, we protect PHI in accordance with HIPAA and our agreements with our Partners. You can opt out of text message communications at any time by texting "STOP" to the number from which you receive the messages.
This section describes how Kouper collects, uses and shares personal information relating to Partner representatives and visitors to our Site.
Information We Collect
Site visitors: inquiries and other communications with us, and any other information you provide.
Partners: job roles, professional specialties, contact information, marketing preferences, payment information, transaction records, and communications.
Automatic data collection via cookies and similar technologies — usage data (pages viewed, navigation paths, access times, email opens and clicks) and device data (operating system, browser, IP address, general location).
How We Use Personal Information
Operating and administering the Services — providing, operating and improving the Services; customer service; and personalization.
Development and improvement — research and product development, de-identified statistics, and usage trends.
Marketing to Partners — as permitted by law, via email, phone, text, and online advertising.
Compliance and protection — protecting rights and safety, auditing, complying with law, and preventing fraud or misuse.
How We Share Your Personal Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:
Service providers (messaging platforms, AI providers, hosting, analytics).
Professional advisors such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers.
Authorities and others — law enforcement and government authorities, where appropriate.
Business transferees in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale.
Your Choices
Marketing. Opt out via the unsubscribe instructions in our messages.
Text messages. Opt out at any time by texting STOP.
Online tracking. Block cookies in your browser, limit your mobile advertising ID, use privacy plug-ins or browsers, or opt out of Google Analytics. These choices are specific to each device and browser.
Do Not Track. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
Security
We employ technical, organizational and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no security measures are failsafe and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
Children
Our Site is not intended for children under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from children, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete it.

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date unless otherwise required by applicable law.
